Download Old Versions of

The VBA version of RelQuest, which works with Visio 2000 and 2002 is available here. RelQuest is available for download on a "shareware" basis. The shareware version is enabled for 60 days, after which you must purchase it. Registration costs $100 per copy.

All use of RelQuest is subject to a Licence Agreement.

For Visio 2000 and Visio 2002 click here to run/download the main installation package (RelQuest1.msi, version 1.013, 2.4MB).

This is a Windows Installer package. After confirming the licence terms, you will need to specify a location for the installation which should be a subdirectory of your Visio installation's "solutions" directory, e.g.

C:\Program Files\Visio\Solutions\Reliability (RelQuest)

If you have any problem running the installer, you may need to update your copy of Windows Installer. To do so, click here, and extract the files in the ZIP file (InstMSI.ZIP, 2.9MB)to the same place as you saved RelQuest1.msi, then run setup.exe.

If the help system does not work, you may need to update your copy of HTML Help. Click here to download an installer for that (HTMLHelp.exe, 3.4MB). You should not run this on Windows 2000 or XP machines, which should already have a current version.

Note: This Version of RelQuest uses macros written in Visual Basic for Applications. To use it in Visio 2000 or 2002, you must either set Visio's macro security to "Low, or set it to "Medium" and enable the macros every time you access the RelQuest documents. In the Visio menu go to Tools / Macros / Security… and set the security level as you wish.

Some anti-virus software, particularly McAfee Anti-Virus, is not very sophisticated and treats every document with Visual Basic for Applications code as a potential virus. As far as I can, I have ensured that the software on this site is free from viruses, and you should treat a warning about a "VBA/Generic" virus in the RelQuest download as a false positive.
